Desert
PublicSchool· Jodhpur
An English-medium institution dedicated to nurturing a love for nature, service to the nation, and strong moral values — since 1984.

Four decades,
one desert,
countless children.
When Justice D. P. Gupta — the then Governor of Rajasthan — cut the ribbon on a small English-medium school on the seventh of July, nineteen eighty-four, Jodhpur's air-force colony had no idea the next four decades would pass through these corridors. Generations of doctors, soldiers, engineers and artists took their first steps on this stage.

“The school places special emphasis upon personalised attention and environmental orientation to make a full-fledged personality development of children.”
Three pillars.
One quiet ambition.
We believe character precedes curriculum. The years a child spends here should nurture a mind, steady a hand, and anchor a moral compass — in that order.
Moral Science
Honesty, cleanliness, good manners and loyalty are the bedrock of every classroom — character precedes curriculum.
Arts & Expression
Dance, drama, debate and our storied annual function give every child a stage — and a voice.
Computer Education
Each student receives personal machine-time in our lab — preparing them for the world they will inherit.
The annual
function is
a small city.
Each year the school becomes a village of its own — a stage draped in red and white, a procession of tiny turbaned boys, Rajasthani folk dancers, patriotic pledges, fancy-dress parades and prize distributions. Every child participates — 100% of students take the stage.

“Every child steps onto that stage. 100% participation is not a target — it is a tradition. Real encouragement has to come from the parents.”
A curriculum
in the NCERT
tradition.
The school follows the NCERT syllabus as an English Medium institution. Each track below is designed to furnish a mind without emptying a childhood.
A gentle entry into structured learning: sensory play, letters, numbers, rhymes, and drawing. Pre-reading habits are built through games, not drills.

“We shape
character before
we shape career.”
When we opened our doors in July of 1984, we wrote one line at the top of our first prospectus: the school must produce honest, clean-living, loyal citizens. Forty years later, that line still sets our calendar.
We are not the biggest school in Jodhpur. We do not try to be. We teach a modest number of children with something old-fashioned: personalised attention. Every child is known. Every teacher is accountable. Every stage is shared.
81 photographs.
One school.
Come walk
the corridors.
We encourage parents to meet teachers on the third and first of each month — and to drop in any morning for a tour of the classrooms, the computer lab, and the stage where so many of our children have found their voice.
